 Donna Borie has enjoyed creative writing since she was a child in elementary school. Besides writing Fiction, she also writes poetry, and children’s books as well as Gospel and country songs. She accompanies herself on piano or guitar. She hopes to one day record a CD of her original music.
When she met her husband, John, he immediately became her Co-author and her Drummer. John didn't have any idea he enjoyed writing Fiction until he sat down to write with his wife. Now it’s one of his favorite pastimes. John has a witty sense of humor and is an avid movie buff and Dallas Cowboy fan.
Donna graduated from Sam Houston   High School and continued on to cosmetology school, where she received her license to style hair. She remained a stylist for fourteen years until an automobile accident kept her from returning. “Nothing can keep me from writing or singing,” she says.”
John graduated from North Shore High School and moved on to Lee Jr. College and then to Stephen F. Austin where he majored in Physical Education and minored in English. He graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor’s degree.
At the age of twenty-four, John and Donna married. Seven years later they adopted a beautiful baby girl. It was through her birth that their first Children’s Book was created and many more books came after.
John and Donna lived in Terrell, Texas for four years. They lived in Livingston, Texas for twenty two years.
John and Donna now live in Waco, Texas, where he teaches High School English for the Waco Independent School District. They attend Bosqueville Baptist Church. |
